Your body can reap significant benefits from a detox if incorporated into your healthy living. A detox can jumpstart your body’s natural cleansing process to give your body and digestive system a chance to reset, heal, and function more optimally when absorbing the nutrients it needs from food. Other benefits include weight loss, elevated energy, and a recalibrated chakra system.
There are many ways to detox, including avoiding certain food groups such as caffeine, sugar, processed foods, etc. But we’re going to combine natural remedies of agua with hydrated and vitamin-filled fruits to create detox waters. I know there are many of us who need motivation in building the healthy habit of drinking enough water a day (recall: the 8×8 rule). Detox waters are a fun way to add a unique twist to what most think of as a “bland-beverage.”
My favorite morning cleansing ritual is starting my day with my first glass of an 8 oz detox water. It not only jumpstarts my digestive system, refreshes my cells, detoxifies my body, clears my skin, but also cleanses and balances my chakras.

For the Root Chakra: Pomegranate Detox Water
The Pomegranate detox water reinforces the root chakra because of its inflammation-reduction properties. The health benefits of this fruit-bearing shrub are its anticancer and antimicrobial properties that balance healthy blood pressure and boost cognitive performance.
Pomegranate Detox Water Recipe:
- 2 cups filtered water
- 1 cup fresh pomegranate seeds
- 1 lime juiced
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
For the Heart Chakra: Thyme & Lime Detox Water
Thyme and lime water can help cleanse the heart chakra by clearing the lungs of mucus. This detox water benefits the chakras because it acts as an antioxidant by reinforcing immune support and vitamin C. This water also helps build potassium for healthy cells and fights against bacterial infections.

- 2 cups filtered water
- ½ sliced cucumber
- sprig of thyme
- 1 lime juiced
