Hi, I'm Koya

Dealing with PMS and the uncomfortable symptoms that come along with it can be frustrating and tiresome to deal with.

Rather than turn to painkillers to try and lessen the symptoms, there are more natural ways to deal with them that are much better for your body. Essential oils. Yes, there essential oils out there that work wonders when dealing with PMS and cramps. I’m going to share some of those with you today!

Lavender Oil

I’ve mentioned this before in another essential oils blog post that I’ve posted, but this one really is amazing. It is great for providing you with better sleep.

We’ve all had to deal with uncomfortable, restless nights while experiencing PMS symptoms or painful cramps whether that be due to anxiety or discomfort. The calming scent that lavender provides has enough power to stabilize your entire body, providing you with the good night’s sleep that you deserve.

Aside from providing you with better sleep, lavender oil has antimicrobial properties that helps in fighting acne or sudden breakouts.

Cypress Oil

Dealing with cramps can really put a damper on your day or mood. Cypress Oil comes from a specific deciduous evergreen tree and it helps increase blood flow thus promoting circulation in your body. This is exactly what your body needs in order to reduce and get rid of cramps!

Bergamot Oil

Bergamot oil comes from the cells of the rind inside of a bergamot orange. This oil retains a calming aroma to boost your mood and reduce anxiety levels which can be particularly high when dealing with PMS. If at any point in the day you are feeling stressed, irritable or uneasy, add a few drops into a diffuser or inhale directly from the bottle to relax.

Ylang Ylang Oil

This special essential oil comes from the petals of the ylang ylang tree. It is known for its unique fragrance and for driving away feelings of depression or anxiety. A common symptom of PMS is fatigue and ylang ylang can also be used as an energy-booster. Feel free to also use this in an essential oil diffuser or inhaling directly from the bottle to reap its benefits.

Sometimes the things that are body needs the most can be found in nature. Essential oils are proof of that statement! Do you have any essential oils that you recommend for alleviating symptoms of PMS?
