Simple Orange Zest Cranberry Sauce

With only six ingredients and 10 minutes of your time, you will have whipped up a delicious side dish and have time to either check on your other meals or give yourself a mini break.  This is one quick meal that doesn’t require a lot of work or monitoring.  Let’s be honest, it’s not easy cooking a Thanksgiving meal: shopping, meal prepping, time.  So why not have a few easy recipes on your menu and have the illusion of hard hours and massive energy put into it?

 

Ingredients

1 12-ounce) bag fresh cranberries

Zest of 1 large orange

⅓ cup fresh orange juice (all the juice from the orange zested)

¼ cup maple syrup

¼ cup raw turbinado sugar

¼ teaspoon cinnamon

 

Instructions

Place all of the ingredients in a medium pot over medium heat and cook down for about 10 minutes, stirring and mashing often, until it reaches a thick jam-like consistency.
