I view my mornings as my personal moment of zen. I take my morning routine very seriously because I believe a firm morning routine will pave the way for a wonderful day, a healthy lifestyle and a vibrant glow both inside and out.

While my morning routine remains pretty consistent, I do like to add some new habits to it every now and then. One of those new additions to my morning routines includes incorporating more practices that will give my beauty a boost from within. I’m going to share some habits that you can add to your morning routine that have helped me feel energized, refreshed and radiant each day.

Play Your Favorite Song

I love to start my mornings off by putting on a good song because it allows me to wake up with a good mood and gets my body moving a bit when I sing and dance along. It’s amazing how music can give your mood a boost when you need it!

Put All of Your Thoughts on Paper

When you first wake up in the morning, write down anything that comes to mind and get it out on paper. This could be about any dreams that you had overnight, how your mood is in that moment or what you are grateful for. Allow your creativity to take over and flow freely.

Take a Cool Shower

Make sure that the water is not too cold, but cold enough that your body can handle. The cool water from the shower is able to close your pores and get your lymphatic system awake and moving in the morning.

Embrace Nature and Natural Light

It can be very difficult for us to remember to connect with ourselves when we are busy. One way to do this is to open up your curtains, just look out at the horizon and embrace the view and light that shines in. This allows you to center all of your thoughts and quiet your mind before taking on the rest of the day.
