This week, I am headed on a birthday trip to Morocco! Traveling is something that I make sure to fully appreciate every chance that I get to do it because it pushes me to experience new things, meet new people, and see the world in a different lens.
If you don’t already, I encourage you to travel even if that means going solo! Regardless, if you are traveling with someone else or not, your travel experience is a way to learn more about the world and about the cultures you have yet to experience.
Today, I am going to share some of my best solo-traveling tips that I hope you keep in mind the next time you get to travel somewhere new.
1.) Have an Itinerary
There’s nothing that can ease your mind more than having some sort of plan especially when you travel! The main thing to remember with this tip is that the plan does not have to be set in stone. By having an itinerary or plan, this forces you to really research the area that you are headed towards so that you have a basic idea of where you will be and the things that you will be able to do.
2.) Talk to Other People
Traveling is one of the best ways to get to know other people and make new friends. This doesn’t just apply to the locals from the area you will be in, but to other travelers who are there as well. You never know what one conversation can lead to. This can help you gain some more travel advice, more insight on the place you are traveling to, and open the door for new opportunities!
3.) Maintain an Open-Mind.
One thing about traveling to a new place is that it opens your eyes to things that may be unfamiliar. It is important to embrace the unfamiliar because that is where most of the learning takes place. So the next time you go somewhere new, be ready to step out of your comfort zone. While it may be uncomfortable, that is where the most invigorating moments from your trip are hidden.
Needless to say, I am so excited for this trip and cannot wait to share this traveling experience with you! Make sure to follow me on my social media to keep up with my adventure.
