In January, I am beginning my International World Chakra Tour, with the Legendary Healer, Queen Afua. We will be gathering at Meila Punta Cana Beach Resort from January 12th-15th to shift your energy in your mind and in your body. During this retreat, we will be focusing on grounding, impeccable listening, dance, yoga, breath-work, meditation and nutrition.

What is Impeccable Listening, exactly?

 

On my website, for Get Loved Up, I offer a course as created by my Spiritual Mother and legendary Holistic Wellness Expert, Queen Afua. Impeccable listening is a self-awareness tool and personal development process that relates to the First Eye of intuition and in Ancient Africa is referred to as “Udjat”. Impeccable Listening is the practice of teaching us that through practice and with cultivating space, we are able to hear the answers to the questions we seek that are within us all. Impeccable Listening is a mastery concept for our intuition, that allows us to ask, listen, and act upon the answers we have received. Daily Impeccable Listening is made up of tools such as meditation and channeling, holistic plant based living, energy assessments, and journaling to influence & liberate the mind, body, and spirit for creating impeccable relationships with oneself and others and live in the highest vibration. Impeccable listening brings forth leaning into knowing and becoming your most authentic self to become happier, more liberated, and healing any wounds that may be present. It is no wonder how powerful this practice is, and why I wanted to take the course and share the teachings in our upcoming January Retreat to help our community know themselves better and experience a thriving life, connected to Spirituality.

It is important to know and become your authentic self for several reasons:

 

  • Self-Acceptance: Embracing your authentic self allows you to accept who you are, including your strengths, weaknesses, values, and beliefs. This self-acceptance can lead to greater self-esteem and self-worth.

  • Resilience: Embracing your authentic self helps you weather life’s challenges. When you know who you are at your core, it’s easier to navigate difficulties and setbacks.

  • Reduced Stress: Pretending to be someone you’re not can be emotionally and mentally taxing. Living authentically reduces stress by eliminating the need to constantly maintain a facade.

 

Remember, being authentic doesn’t mean being static or unchanging. You can grow, evolve, and still be true to yourself. It’s about staying aligned with your core values and beliefs while adapting and learning throughout life’s journey.

 

Think about where you are currently? What you may be feeling and any stressors that you may have. With the heaviness in the world, it is understandable if you have not been feeling like yourself or struggling with different imbalances and challenges. I understand and have been there.

Why are we beginning with the Root Chakra?

Healing starts with the Root Chakra, which is related to feelings of stability, security and groundedness, vital for mental health and wellbeing.

 

Here is what a balanced Root Chakra may look and feel like:

 

  • Feeling Grounded: A balanced Root Chakra fosters a strong sense of being grounded and connected to the present moment and the physical world. You feel a sense of stability in your life.

 

  • Security and Safety: You feel secure and safe in your environment. This doesn’t just mean physical safety but also a sense of emotional and financial security.

 

  • Physical Health: A balanced Root Chakra contributes to a healthy and robust physical body. You’re more likely to take care of your basic needs, such as food, shelter, and exercise, promoting overall well-being.

 

  • Emotional Stability: Emotionally, you’re balanced and able to deal with life’s ups and downs without feeling overwhelmed. You have a sense of inner peace and contentment.

 

  • Connection to the Earth: There’s a strong connection to nature and the earth, feeling a harmonious relationship with the environment around you.

 

  • Feeling of Belonging: You feel a strong sense of belonging, both within yourself and in your community or family. You’re comfortable with your roots and origins.

 

  • Healthy Boundaries: You’re able to establish and maintain healthy boundaries in relationships, respecting both your own needs and the needs of others.

Earlier, I mentioned that we will be partaking in dance, meditation, breath-work, nutrition, and yoga during the retreat. These are practices and rituals that you will learn that are vital to assist longevity as well as optimal health and wellbeing.

 

Here are some ways these activities will help to balance your Root Chakra:

 

  • Physical Exercise: Engaging in physical activities or exercises that involve your legs and feet, such as walking, running, or dancing, can help activate the Root Chakra.

 

  • Balanced Nutrition: Consume root vegetables like carrots, beets, potatoes, and radishes. These foods are believed to support and balance the Root Chakra.

 

  • Meditation: Practice Root Chakra-focused meditations. Visualize a red, spinning energy center at the base of your spine. Focus on feelings of stability and security while breathing deeply.

 

  • Yoga Poses: Certain yoga asanas (poses) can help activate and balance the Root Chakra. Poses like Tadasana (Mountain Pose), Virabhadrasana (Warrior Pose), and Malasana (Yogic Squat) can be beneficial.

 

  • Breath-Work- Can help you connect to your life force and grounds you into the present moment. Breath-work can make a way to release any stagnant energy that may be blocking your Root Chakra from feeling safe and secure.

 

Private sessions are available and you will be guided to unlock the power of breath and body for deep self-discovery. You will also enjoy “discover your gifts” sessions and learn sacred meditations for spiritual insights led by myself and Queen Afua.

  • Healing yoga and movement classes: The ultimate goal of yoga is to facilitate self-discovery, self-improvement, and inner peace. In conjunction with dancing, you will feel a sense of liberation while moving stagnant energy throughout the body, helping you to feel more alive and present.
  • Time to relax and unwind: A part of healing ourselves and our bodies comes with allowing for restoration. By relaxing and unwinding you can receive any downloads you may gain and begin to integrate the lessons you have learned during the retreat that will extend far beyond our time together. 
  • Learn how to heal ancestral memories that change your behavior and the way you move through life: Sometimes all of our memories, traumas, and nuisances don’t belong to only us. They have been experienced and passed down generationally over time. We would love to guide you through the liberating process of letting go of what doesn’t serve you while providing the tools that help you change your behaviors for your daily life.
