Hi, I'm Koya

Singing will force you to love the parts of yourself that you want to hide from the world.

When I started getting vocal training to record music, my books, and improve my speaking, I was amazed by what I learned from my vocal empowerment coach Dot. She opened up so much inside of me that I knew her wisdom needed to be shared on the podcast.

Dot Todman is a Los Angeles-based Vocal Empowerment Coach known for her  holistic approach. She began teaching music at the age of 14, earned triple degrees in Theatre Arts Education, Psychology and Music.

Her inspiring musical gift led to winning songwriting competitions, directing musical groups, performing in award-winning jazz quintets and touring musical groups, teaching Music, Drama and Choir in High Schools and directing regional choirs in Classical and Contemporary Music and performing in concerts of her own.

After surviving a debilitating surgery in 2007, Dot committed to a path of self-healing by applying chakra awareness along with mental discipline, positive thinking and daily breathing exercises. This experience helped her create C.O.R.E Vocal Power®, the revolutionary method that allows anyone to build their vocal power and confidence.

We talk about all kinds of healing in this conversation, from childhood bullying to spiritual progression to physically healing from disease. I can’t wait for you to hear her thoughts on the power of your voice and how you can heal too.
