Hi, I'm Koya

Taking care of your health and wellness should be a lifestyle. What better way to incorporate wellness into your everyday life than by creating your own wellness routine?

Wellness routines can make a positive impact on your life as it encourages you to incorporate self-care daily. Doing so can set a positive intention for your day, week, month or even year!

We all tend to have a few things that we routinely do every day, but today I want to share some ways that you can take your morning, afternoon and nighttime wellness routines up a notch and make the most out of them.

Meditation is an excellent practice because it can be done anytime and anywhere. This is something you can do in the morning, afternoon and at night before bed. No matter what stage you are in during the day, your mind and body need time to regroup and reduce as much stress as possible.

With just 20 minutes of meditation, you can instantly shift your state of mind and step into a more positive light. Keep in mind, that the amount of time you want to spend meditating throughout the day can be altered to meet your needs best.

Move your body

Our physical health plays such a vital role in our wellness. Whatever moving your body means to you; whether it be through yoga, walking, running, dancing, etc., try to get active and move your body a few times throughout the day. Use these opportunities as a way to appreciate your ability to move in the ways that you can as it is truly a blessing!

Add more fruits and veggies into your meals

Whole fruits and vegetables retain some of the most essential nutrients for your body. Giving yourself the time to prepare healthier meals will allow you to feel and see a difference in the way your body functions. You’ll notice an increase in energy levels, a stronger immune system, and a stronger mind.

Read and write

Not only does reading and writing push your attention away from distractions like your phone, computer or social media, it allows you to think differently. Read a book that inspires you and motivates you to want to get closer to your goals. Write about the things that you a grateful for regardless of how your day went. Reflection is key.

Adopt more eco-friendly practices

We live in a world that does so much good for us. Why not pay it forward? The thing about adopting eco-friendly practices is that it not only benefits you; it benefits the entire planet. Anytime you decide to conserve energy, cut out plastic, recycle, buy local or use eco-friendly products, you are providing yourself with the quality that your body deserves and improving the quality of the environment at the same time.

I strongly invite you to practice self-care whenever you can. Wellness routines are a great way to help you maintain consistency with the practice if you are unsure of where to start.
