Hi, I'm Koya

As our Social Justice Ambassador Aziza North put it, September was a tough month politically.

Throughout the past few months, we’ve seen the system fail our women, minorities, immigrants, and more. To put things in simpler terms, something has to be done.

What we all need to realize is that we have the ability to change things around us and strengthen our future.

Our voice is powerful and most certainly matters, but in order for us to see the action that we want taken, we must use our voices to do so.

As you may know by now, the 2018 midterm elections will be here before you know it. No matter what you believe in or who you stand by, I urge you to put your powerful voice to action by voting.

It has been refreshing to see celebrities like Taylor Swift come forward and use their platform to spike the amount of registered voters within the younger generation.

Aside from that, I’ve seen many influencers on social media post pictures of the deadlines to vote across all of the states within the past couple of weeks.

It is the simple things like that, that give me so much hope for our future and for what is to come.

Above all, I believe it is important to maintain a positive mind set and realize that your voice can make a difference whether you believe it or not.

Voting is incredibly important and by doing so, your voice will absolutely be heard. Let’s come together to make a difference!
