For years, I’ve always told people that a smoothie away keeps the doctor away! Drinking a smoothie every morning gives me the right amount of satisfaction and energy that I need for a jam-packed day. I love to make smoothies because they are an easy way to make sure you consume all of your essential nutrients and vitamins and they don’t require a lot of time to make at all.

I personally think smoothies work way better than coffee to give you energy. Don’t believe me? Well, I’ve got an amazing superfood green smoothie recipe that you need to give a try. It’ll instantly revitalize you, wake you up and give you a kick of energy to start off your day.

What You’ll Need:

2 cups mixed greens (Kale, spinach, collard greens, lettuce etc.)

¼ cup pineapple

½ frozen banana

1 golden apple

1-2 cups water

1 scoop protein powder

1-2 dates (optional)

Directions:

1. Blend greens with water until smooth.

2. Add the remaining fruit and blend again.

That’s it! This is such a simple smoothie to prepare in the mornings especially when you don’t have a lot of time. This will work for breakfast, as a meal replacement or even a snack. Have fun and don’t be afraid to play around with different ingredients; the types of smoothies you can make are endless.
