Every child deserves an education regardless of their income.

I’ve partnered with Children International to support the dreams of underserved youth. Children International is an organization working to end childhood poverty across the globe. Their vision is to graduate healthy, educated, empowered and employed young adults from their program so they can achieve the goal of breaking the cycle of poverty.

With the support of caring sponsors like you, Children International provides children in their program with access to a safe place, a caring team, and a clear path out of poverty. Mirriam! from Zambia

Meet this dedicated and inspiring young woman

Living up to my Father’s dream for me to be an educated successful person has helped me remain focused. As far as I can remember, dad was sick for 8 years after he suffered a stroke. He died of a heart attack in 2011. During his time in his sick bed, he told me over and over that no matter how tough things became, I should get educated and become successful in life. I am the youngest in the family of 5. My elder siblings dropped out of school due to lack of financial support.

I too had dropped out of school for two years but I kept pushing my mother to find ways to get me back into school. Along the way, a volunteer introduced me and my mother to Children International. In my final year, Children International paid my whole fees and I wrote my grade twelve exams stress free. I have passed with good grades to get me into university. I am not leaving things to chance that one day things will change, instead, I tell myself that I will make things better.

Krisel from the Philippines

A dedicated athlete and leader in her community

Like me, she’s passionate about healthy living and staying active. She plays volleyball and Arnis, the national sport and martial art of the Philippines. Krisel became a sponsored child through @children International when she was 9 years old. With the help of the program combined with her self-determination, she has gone on to study for a Civil Engineering degree, earn athletic medals at National Games, and gain confidence in herself as a leader in her community. Krisel gives back to her community as a youth facilitator and a LetsGO program volunteer, where she helps kids learn life skills and healthy behaviors through sports. This young woman has been able to reach for her dreams and lift up her peers every step of the way with the support of Children International. With your support, more children like her could reach their dreams too.

If you’re inspired by the stories of these girls, consider sponsoring a child through Children International.
