Hi, I'm Koya

Meet Stencia Forde (Instagram: @myntcondition)

Stencia was an attendee of our June Yoga Teacher Training. Hear more about her experience below.

What was the highlight of your experience?

The highlight of my experience was having one of my favorite social media influencers become my sister and advisor IN REAL LIFE! It is not often in life that you have an opportunity to connect with people you “fan girl” over on social media. Koya Webb is beautiful, knowledgable, super sweet and just all around amazing. A handful of life changes happened to me while in her space and she was attentive and let me cry and then she guided and advised.

And truthfully, she didn’t have to do any of that.

She is African-American female trailblazer in the health and wellness industry and I aspire to be like her in many ways.

Also, My GLU Sisters. There is no group in the world like the women Koya hand picked and brought together. The experience overall has changed my LIFE!

What makes Get Loved Up’s Yoga Teacher Training Different?

The Vegan and Holistic education that came with the 23 days there really helped. In fact, this has turned into a lifestyle. After you are vegan for 23 days and have been educated on the way it affects our bodies and our planet, how can one not live vegan?

Also, I enjoyed learning about the other practitioners and food brands featured throughout the program. In addition to our yoga training, we had seminars on the Alkaline Diet, energy healing, and we were gifted a lot of things that helped support living a plant-based, holistic, cruelty-free vegan lifestyle.

Who do you think the training is for?

Anyone looking for a jump start or a change to the rest of their lives.

What is the #1 thing you took away from the training?

LOVE MYSELF. LOVE OTHERS. Be gentle with myself and others. Trust my Yoga. Hold Space.

What’s next for you?

Introducing yoga to my family and friends as well as serving my community. African American yoga instructors are few and my people are underserved. I want to change that.
