Have you ever celebrated Wellness Month? There’s a first time for everything and last month, I had the chance to take part in celebrating Wellness Month at Hilton Aruba! I am so grateful to have been joined by my sister for this amazing experience.
During my stay there, I got to teach three yoga classes, meet wonderful people, share details about my new book, “Let Your Fears Make You Fierce: How to Turn Common Obstacles into Seeds for Growth,” experience Hilton Aruba’s wellness programs, and of course get some much needed rest and relaxation on the beautiful island.
It was as exciting as I had anticipated and I wanted to give you a recap of some of my highlights from this trip!
Sunrise Yoga, Sunset Yoga and Meditation:
To be able to host and practice yoga and meditation alongside the sun as it rises and sets is an experience unlike any other. What an amazing way to begin and end your day on a powerful note. I was so lucky to be able to host both sunrise and sunset yoga sessions as it was a way to connect with the beautiful people and environment of Aruba.
These sessions were both invigorating and a unique way to set positive intentions for the day as well as for the duration of the month.
Spas, Massages and Self Care:
No matter where I am in the world, I always make sure to prioritize taking care of myself, especially after long days of travel and work. From massages, spa treatments and long hours on the beach, Hilton Aruba made me feel relaxed, refreshed and rejuvenated!
I also left feeling more knowledgeable in what natural treatments work best for my body as well as some tips on how I can treat myself at home with their brown sugar and aloe scrub. Just mixing equal parts of brown sugar, olive oil and aloe and I was surprised at how baby soft my skin felt!
Cycling Tour of Aruba:
To me, traveling is more than just seeing sights. It is about embracing and immersing yourself in a culture that is different from your own. Through the cycling tour that I took of Aruba, I got to learn so much more about this destination, the people and the island’s history.
Connecting Through My Book: “Let Your Fears Make You Fierce”
During this trip I had the opportunity to share holistic self-care tips that come directly from my new book. I shared mantras and meditation practices that encourage you to dream big and become the best version of yourself by living a life embracing your fears as opportunities to grow. Anytime that I get to share and talk about my book is a satisfying experience.
My time here was incredibly well-spent and one that I will remember for years and years to come. Hilton Aruba promotes the perfect amount of balance that we all need in our lives through self-care, adventure, physical and mental activity and so much more.
